Danwei is a research and information firm. We undertake research projects connected with Chinese media, Internet, and consumer culture for corporate, government and academic clients.

We also publish websites featuring original writing, video, translations, photography and audio about China and the Chinese world, and recruitment advertisements for the media and communications industries.

Danwei started in 2003 as a daily report on the Chinese media and Internet with translations, original articles, videos and blog posts. The archive of our old material is all available online at Danwei.org. We continue to offer media and Internet monitoring services to clients as part of our custom China research services.

In June 2011, Danwei moved to the Danwei.com domain name. We also publish recruitment advertising at DanweiJobs.com
